A groom's cake is a tradition that originated in the South. The groom's cake was
traditionally an all chocolate cake, to contrast to the bride's all white cake. Groom's
cakes are often all chocolate with chocolate dipped strawberries. They are also
some times decorated after a theme or hobby of the groom's.
Just under half of all my bride's elect to do a groom's cake.
About 1/4 - 1/3 of the needed servings would be put into the groom's cake.
